This painting is inspired by the plight of homeless patients and aims to highlight their loneliness and the isolation. Suspended in nothingness, the figure sits alone, surrounded by all he owns. He looks down, shoulders slumped. The viewer is allowed to sit and look without confrontation and ponder on homelessness and on their own role in society.

This painting has previously won the Mark Brenan award at the Institute of Medical Ethics and the Imperial College London Art exhibition at St. Mary’s Hospital 2013.
